Okeanos Bistro in Cebu

"Unfortunately the two tasty sounding vegan options were not available - but I'm still giving a 4 star rating because the "lentil-veggie meatballs" dish is unique to the area, and giving the benefit of the doubt that these options are normally regularly available, and they had perhaps sold out due to their popularity! The other vegan option is a burger. Well done for putting plant based options on the menu, and listing them clearly, in an area with meat heavy menus. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere seemed pleasant. We ended up going to The Three Bears resturant, where we had a decent sized and tasty vegan chilli and vegan burger. Vegan meals contain no meat, no fish, no shrip or oyster sauce, no egg, no butter, and no milk or other dairy - plant based."

"Exceptional breakfast. I had a caramel macchiato and the eggs benedict. The eggs benedict were done perfectly and a generous amount of bacon too."

"An absolute must go to in Moalboal! We went for dinner and everything was so delicious we went back in the morning to have the most incredible coffee we've had in all of our travels in Asia! The shrimp curry was absolutely divine... we actually dipped everything in the curry sauce and may have licked the plate! We also had the cauliflower nuggets, edemame, salmon, vegan meatballs, chicken Mediterranean salad. All were outstanding in flavor and freshness. The banana cake and the chocolate chip cookie brownie dipped in the cappuccino foam, topped with cinnamon was yumi-licios! We will be back again and again! The high quality of the ingredients and excellent service are rare treats!"

"Good food and drinks, honestly worth more than what you pay for. We loved their pasta, it was so good. The place is clean, spacious, and the staff are super warm and accommodating. They have fast WiFi too, but when you’re with good people and even better food, you kinda forget your phone exists. Most of our photos ended up being of the food and not the place, but I guess that just means it’s something you really have to experience for yourself. Especially the food. They’ve got cute souvenirs too, and every little corner is easy on the eyes. It’s the kind of place that just feels right—whether you’re with friends, family, spending time solo, or on a date. If you’re heading to Moalboal, don’t miss this bistro. You’ll know what I mean once you’re there."
